Norway’s decline in the last test before the European Championship: – Now the alarm must sound
– If this is what we see in the European Championship, I don’t think we will advance from the group stage. Now the alarm must sound, says NRK expert Carl-Erik Torp.

– It was a generally good run for us, I think. The most important thing was that we tried to play a little bit today. Then we have to dare to make mistakes, says Ada Hegerberg to NRK.
The match is the last before Norway’s European Championship opener against Switzerland on July 2, but the dress rehearsal was not impressive.

LOSS: There was a loss in the dress rehearsal for Norway against Sweden. Here are Ada Stoolsmop Hegerberg and Ingrid Syrstad Engen after the match.
– Reason for concern
Although the players are not particularly worried, NRK’s expert is more uncertain about the team.
– This gives cause for concern before the European Championship. This is the last test, but it has been incredibly daft and cumbersome by Norway. Very stagnant, says Torp.

National team manager Gemma Grainger was pleased that Norway created chances.
– This was a perfect dress rehearsal, Grainger tells TV 2 even though they lost 0-2.
DISAPPOINTED: Norway and Caroline Graham Hansen did not get to vote against Sweden.
Torp believes Norway’s defense is what worries national team manager Gemma Grainger the most after the dress rehearsal.

– She probably has no idea what the best combination of players is now. Now Guro Bergsvand is unavailable and Mathilde Harviken is still not ready. She probably wasn’t reassured by the four that started the dress rehearsal, says Torp.

– The other thing that worries me is how stubborn Norway is about playing out from behind. You just walk around and wait for them to lose the ball. I don’t understand why Norway isn’t more direct, says Torp.

CRITICAL: Carl-Erik Torp.
– The positive thing I take with me today is when we get our stars set up in the final third. That’s when we create things. But today almost everything we create came because of Swedish mistakes, says Torp.

– Getting too little out of the crew
NRK expert Bengt Eriksen is not particularly reassured by the dress rehearsal either. He commented on the match on NRK Radio and is critical of what he was served.
– This is a training match, we will practice what we will do next week. Then we must be able to reach a higher level with the presumably best eleven, says Eriksen.

NOT A RECORD ATTENDANCE: NFF hoped for a record crowd at Ullevaal Stadium on Thursday evening, but it was only close.
Couldn’t set a record
The match was not just a final test and final touch before the European Championship kicks off, it was also going to be historic.

These started for Norway in the European Championship dress rehearsal
Cecilie Fiskerstrand, Thea Bjelde, Maren Mjelde, Tuva Hansen, Marit Bratsberg Lund, Vilde Bøe Risa, Ingrid Syrstad Engen, Frida Maanum, Caroline Graham Hansen, Guro Reiten, Ada Hegerberg
Norwegian cold shower
The first big chance of the match came after just six minutes, when Sweden shot at the post from ten meters. Madelen Janogy, who is a teammate of Cecilie Fiskerstrand at Fiorentina, was allowed to turn up far too easily in Norway’s penalty area and finish, but fortunately for Norway the ball went inside the post and out.

LUGGET: Norway missed a number of opportunities against Sweden.
Shortly afterwards, Ada Hegerberg headed the ball unpressingly from ten metres on a great cross from Thea Bjelde, but the finish was far too weak. Then Sweden went on the attack, where a cross ended up in Janogy, who sent Fiskerstrand out wide with a header. But the Norwegian goalkeeper was on hand to keep the score at 0-0, despite two examples of poor Norwegian defending.

– Norway was not aggressive enough up front and fell behind. Then they were unable to repair, and there we saw the weaknesses of Bratberg Lund and Maren Mjelde, who both lack speed. Such situations must be averted earlier, says NRK’s expert commentator Carl-Erik Torp about the 0-1 goal.

SWEDEN CELEBRATION: Sweden could celebrate scoring at Ullevaal.
Increased leadership
After the cold shower, Norway came close to equalizing twice in a short period of time. First when Frida Maanum found Ada Hegerberg with a low and beautiful cross, but the shot from the Lyon star went just wide from a slightly slanted angle. Then Caroline Graham Hansen was played through nicely by Guro Reiten, but Sweden goalkeeper Jennifer Falk saved with a nice leg save.

Just before the break, Sweden increased their lead. They played well into the right side of Norway’s penalty area before Filippa Angeldahl fired a shot, which went via Tuva Hansen’s foot and into the roof of the net behind a relatively stretched Fiskerstrand in the Norway goal.

Great Norway chances
Sweden thought they had gone up 3-0 after 57 minutes when Stina Blackstenius came through alone with Panengstuen and put the ball in the goal, but the goal was correctly disallowed for offside.
Norway then created two big chances, first with Frida Maanum heading the keeper from close range, before Maren Mjelden missed the ball and headed over unmarked from five meters after the subsequent corner. Norway should have reduced the deficit there.
– We create some big chances, that should be enough, says Guro Reiten.
There were no more goals and the match ended 0-2.
