Rosenborg star critical of own club – cheered on against Sandefjord

After falling behind by two and having zero shots on goal in the first half against Sandefjord, the Rosenborg players were greeted by boos from their own away supporters.

During the break it became clear that captain Ole Selnæs was not satisfied with the situation either.

    – We are no better as of today, he told TV 2.

Furthermore, the 30-year-old responded bluntly about what he thinks about the situation.

    – You’ll have to ask the club about that. Their priorities.

After the match, Rosenborg coach Alfred Johansson was confronted with the captain’s statements.

    – When you play a game, your head boils. You say things you don’t mean. It happened with my assistant who got a red card after the game, and that happens sometimes when things boil over, Johansson told TV 2.

Rosenborg CEO, Tore Bjørseth Berdal, has announced that he will comment on the statements later Sunday.

RBK have struggled in recent weeks. They are now five games in a row without a win in all competitions. In addition, key players Marius Broholm and Sverre Nypan have left the club.

    – Statements like that make me believe that there is something he is not happy with at the club, said TV 2 expert Mushaga Bakenga about the Selnæs statements.

Bakenga’s colleague, Yaw Amankwah, interpreted it the same way.

“Rough pucks from Ole Selnæs in the direction of the RBK club management! I understand his frustration,” wrote the football expert on X.

Mushaga Bakenga believes Selnæs is dissatisfied with his own club.

    Table neighbors

Jakob Dunsby and Sander Risan Mørk were responsible for the goals in the first half, and even after the break, Rosenborg was unable to fight back.

Although they created more dangers, they were unable to outsmart Elias Hadaya in the Sandefjord cage.

Sandefjord also had their chances to put the nail in the coffin earlier, but only the two goals before halftime.

DOUBLED THE LEAD: Sander Risan Mørk pryed in Sandefjord’s second against Rosenborg.

This means that all the points remained in the whaling town. They are now right up there with Rosenborg.

Only two points separate the two clubs in the elite series table. Sandefjord has also played two fewer games.

Sandefjord is in full swing on their own artificial turf. They have won six out of six home games in this year’s elite league season.

    – If we continue to be so good at home, we will take a lot of points going forward, said goal scorer Risan Mørk to TV 2 after the match.

After the match, the booing from Rosenborg’s spectators towards their own players continued.

Only Fredrikstad, Haugesund and Strømsgodset have taken fewer points than the team from Trøndelag in the last five games.
