Conditions
These are the terms of subscription to Nettavisen Verdinytt.
1. The Agreement
This agreement comprises the terms of sale as well as the information available in the ordering section at Verdinytt.no. It specifically governs the ordering and purchasing of a subscription to the online newspaper Verdinytt. A valid subscription grants the buyer full access to all content available on Verdinytt.no. To access this content, the buyer must log in using their username and password.
2. The Parties
The seller in this transaction is Verdinytt AS, located at Industrigata 28, 4632 Kristiansand. You can reach us via our website, Verdinytt.no, or by phone at 92 93 44 23. Our organization number is 830012702.
The buyer is defined as the individual who places the order.
3. Price
The subscription price represents the total cost the buyer is responsible for; there are no hidden fees or extra costs. Any additional fees that the buyer was not informed of prior to purchase are not their responsibility.
Verdinytt AS reserves the right to adjust prices before the start of a new subscription period. Current pricing details can always be found on Verdinytt.no.
4. Agreement Confirmation
This agreement becomes binding for both parties once the buyer submits their order to Verdinytt AS.
However, the agreement will not be binding if there is a typing or input error in the seller’s offer or the buyer’s order, and if the other party is aware—or should have been aware—of such an error.
5. Payment
Subscriptions can be paid for using a Visa card, MasterCard, or Vipps, or, where available, via invoice.
If the buyer opts for payment via credit or debit card, Verdinytt AS will deduct the subscription fee at the point of order and again at the start of each new subscription period as a prepayment. Should the payment for the new subscription period fail after multiple attempts within ten days, a payment reminder will be sent, typically via email.
For subscriptions paid by invoice, the invoice will be issued immediately after the order is placed, and the subscription will be activated. The first invoice will be sent by email, and the buyer can choose to receive invoices for subsequent periods as e-invoices or through contract giro. Payment terms will be outlined in the invoice, which will allow at least ten days for payment. Buyers under 18 are not eligible to pay via invoice. For each new subscription period, an invoice will be generated in advance, with the due date aligning with the commencement of that period.
6. Subscription Period and Termination
Verdinytt AS offers subscriptions of various lengths, all of which will renew automatically unless cancelled. When cancelled, the subscription will remain active for the duration of the current period, which must be fully paid for at the time of cancellation.
The buyer is free from any binding commitment and may terminate the subscription at any time through their account or by providing written notice to Verdinytt AS. For written cancellations, notice must be received at least three days prior to the beginning of a new subscription period—one of those days must be a business day—to ensure proper registration of the termination.
Please note that failure to make a payment does not constitute termination of the subscription.
7. User Rights
Usernames and passwords are personal and should not be shared outside of the immediate household. Any breach of this policy may result in Verdinytt AS deactivating access, without any entitlement to reimbursement for the buyer.
All rights to content and services belong to Verdinytt AS. Copying, distributing, or otherwise reproducing any content without prior consent from the editorial team is strictly prohibited.
Users may encounter temporary inaccessibility to certain content on Verdinytt due to maintenance or other factors. While we strive to keep our users informed of accessibility issues, persistent access problems should be reported.
In any event, Verdinytt AS is not liable for any consequences or losses resulting from the inability to use the services as intended.
8. Right of Withdrawal
For online orders of the Verdinytt subscription, the subscription takes effect immediately, and the service is considered fully delivered. Therefore, the right of withdrawal lapses in accordance with the relevant legislation pertaining to remote sales—specifically, §22c of the Act on Duty of Diors and Rights of Report.
In cases where subscriptions are ordered through channels other than Verdinytt.no, the buyer retains the right to withdraw from the agreement by notifying Verdinytt AS within 14 days of placing the order. This request must be communicated in writing. If the subscription has been active during the withdrawal period, the buyer will be responsible for paying for the time that the subscription was valid.
9. Personal Information
Verdinytt AS collects and retains information including names, email addresses, physical addresses, and telephone numbers, along with details related to any additional bill payers. By agreeing to these terms, the buyer consents to the handling of their personal data in accordance with applicable privacy regulations.
This information is used to manage the contractual relationship and may also be employed to enhance the understanding of user preferences, allowing Verdinytt AS to improve its products and services. Subscribers may receive information updates from Verdinytt AS.
Buyers have the right to access their personal information held by Verdinytt AS and can request corrections for any inaccuracies. They may also request the deletion of their personal data if it is no longer necessary for fulfilling the contractual obligations. Buyers are required to keep their contact information up to date, which can be done through their account on Verdinytt.no or by contacting Verdinytt AS in writing.

10. Conflict Resolution
Complaints should be directed to the seller within a reasonable timeframe. Both parties are encouraged to resolve any disputes amicably. Should this prove unsuccessful, the buyer may seek mediation through the Consumer Authority, accessible via telephone at 23 400 600 or through their website at www.sbrukspåkarsynet.no.
11. Changes to the Agreement
These terms of service are in effect from the moment the agreement is entered into between the buyer and Verdinytt AS, continuing until any new terms are published on Verdinytt.no.
