The Norwegian triathlete Solveig Løvseth won the Ironman World Cup in his wife on Saturday, Hawaii, after a dramatic race in very warm weather.
The 26-year-old from Trondheim came to the finish of 8.28.27, and secured Norway’s first World Cup title on the women’s side in the history of the competition, Triathlete reports.
Triathlon consists of 3.8 kilometers of swimming, 180 km of cycling and 42.1 kilometers of running.
Løvseth opened with a swim time of 55.40 and was number 14 out of the water. On the 18 -mile bike stage, she advanced vigorously and had today’s second best time of 4.31.53, before she ran out as number three.
