Wembley and Camp Nou have both shown an interest in hosting the Champions League final in 2029, according to the European Football Association (Uefa). On Friday, Uefa announced which stadiums have expressed their interest in hosting the European club tournament finals in 2028 and 2029. Bayern Munich’s home ground is the only one that has shown interest in the CL final in 2028, while both Wembley and Camp Nou have a desire to host the Champions League final the following year. However, the declaration of interest is not binding. The deadline for expressing interest is 22 October 2025, while the formal application must be submitted by 10 June 2026. In September next year, Uefa will choose which countries will host the various finals. (NTB)
