Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal was the best Norwegian in the opening race in the German-Austrian show jumping with his 10th place. Domen Prevc was supremely best in the jumping hill.

Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal jumped 135.5 meters in the 1st round and was the best Norwegian with 12th place before the final round. His second jump ended at 132 meters.

He settled into a provisional 2nd place, but was pushed out of the top ten.

Domen Prevc led after the 1st round with a jump of 141.5 metres. In the final round, he jumped 1.5 meters shorter, but kept his place at the top of the results list.

He eventually won by 17.5 points down to Austrian Daniel Tschofenig. German Felix Hoffman was third.

Timi Zajc jumped in for what he thought was second place, but was dished out due to too long a suit.

Halvor Egner Granerud landed 121.5 and 127.5 on his two attempts, while Johan Andre Forfang finished with two jumps of 126 and 127 metres. They finished in 21st and 22nd place.

Marius Lindvik jumped 124.5 and 124 metres, and was number 24. Robin Pedersen jumped 123.5 in the first round, but only managed a soar of 113 meters in the final round. He thus finished last in the final round.

Isak Andreas Langmo did not qualify for the final round.

The Hoppuka runs as usual in Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Innsbruck, before ending in Bischofshofen on January 6.

Daniel Tschofenig from Austria won the Hoppuka last season. Granerud is the previous Norwegian who went to the top of the edition which was organized in the 2022/23 season. (NTB)
