Storting’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee to Visit the USA
The Storting’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is set to embark on an important journey to the United States from February 18 to 23.
Kicking off the trip in California, parliamentary representatives will engage with cutting-edge companies including OpenAI, Nvidia, Palantir, and Planet Labs. This visit aims to shed light on the forces driving investment in the tech sector and the pivotal role these firms play in advancing modern defense technologies and innovations. The committee will also convene at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, facilitating discussions with leading experts.
The delegation will then make its way to Washington, D.C., where they will hold discussions with members of both the Republican and Democratic parties in the U.S. Congress. In addition, the committee plans to meet with prominent analysts from various American think tanks. Key topics on the agenda will include transatlantic cooperation and other pressing foreign policy matters.
