Denmark’s Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, is urging Norway to play a pivotal role in securing new financial assistance for Ukraine.
The focus of her appeal centers on Russian assets that have been seized in Belgium, which the EU plans to repurpose for Ukraine’s recovery efforts.
Frederiksen commented in an interview with NRK, “While the Norwegian government must ultimately make its own decision, it would be beneficial for Norway to contribute, just as it has in other areas of support for Ukraine.”
