Erling Braut Haaland crashed into the post in this weekend’s Premier League match and will probably not be on the field against Swansea in the league cup on Wednesday.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola told that at a press conference on Tuesday.
– I haven’t met Erling today, but it was a blast. I think he is getting better day by day. We train this afternoon, and then we’ll see how he feels, says Guardiola in a clip published by Sky Sports.
Haaland has played many games this autumn, and Guardiola sees the first rounds of the league cup as a good opportunity to rest the Norwegian power forward.
– It has always been like this in this cup. We can give playing time to others who need minutes, says the Spaniard.
