Ida Marie Hagen had the biggest highlight of her career on Sunday. The 25-year-old won the combined triple in Seefeld and took his second straight World Cup title.

Hagen has been unapproachable almost the entire season and was absolutely superb when the Seefeld triple was to be decided.

After recording 98.5 meters in the jumping hill, Hagen went out on the cross-country with a 25 second lead.

This meant that she took her tenth World Cup victory this winter with full control and could celebrate as the winner of the Seefeld triple. It also ensured that no one can catch her in the World Cup, which Hagen wins for the second season in a row.

The triumph in Seefeld was her first triple. Last year she was disqualified for unregulated dressage when the women ran three competitions in Seefeld for the first time.

The combined women are not allowed to participate in the Olympics, and thus the Seefeld weekend is the big highlight of the season. The win gives more prize money than usual.

For the third day in a row in Seefeld, the female combined runners marked in protest that they are not allowed to participate in the Olympics. Once again, the athletes crossed the poles over their heads before Sunday’s cross-country section.
