Here is Nypan on his way to Manchester – confirms medical test
NRK has been sent a photo of Sverre Nypan and father Arne Nypan on their way to Manchester in a private plane.
On Sunday evening, the young talent himself confirmed to Adresseavisen that he will undergo a medical test for the light blues from Manchester.
Then, only the details remain before the transfer is finalized – and the player from Trøndelag will become part of the stable of one of the world’s biggest football clubs.
– Huge transfer. For Nypan, for Rosenborg, for Norwegian football. And here I only see winners, says NRK’s football expert Kristoffer Løkberg about the transfer, which will in all likelihood be confirmed soon.
If all goes according to plan in Manchester, Nypan will be teammates with Erling Braut Haaland and Oscar Bobb. However, it is far from certain that there will be Premier League games next season.
It was reported by the website The Athletic that it is likely that the Norwegian will be loaned out next season. The information has not been confirmed.
The same website reports a sum of around 170 million kroner.
In January, Nypan was in the stands with his agent and father during a City match. At the time, Haaland was positive about having the player from Trøndelag in the stands and potentially as a teammate.
– I hope he enjoyed himself in the stands. We’ll see. That would have been nice. I think he has a good agent who knows what she’s doing, Haaland told Viaplay after the game.
There has been a lot of talk over the past six months about where Nypan will end up after Rosenborg. The speculation accelerated at Christmas time towards the winter transfer window. Dad Arne Nypan visited the big cities of London, Manchester and Birmingham with his son in January. The two are said to have looked at conditions at Arsenal and Aston Villa, among others.
In April, several media outlets reported that a transfer to the latter club was imminent, and Villa’s sporting director visited Norway and saw him play against Vålerenga. However, no agreement was ultimately reached between the clubs.
