Married – now the Norway profile has changed its name

– Absolutely magical. I don’t think I fully understood how nice and cool it was going to be. There was a great atmosphere from morning to night, says Celin Bizet Dønnum to NRK.

The 23-year-old, who has been selected for Norway’s national team for the upcoming European Championship finals in Switzerland, reveals to NRK that she has changed her name to Celin Bizet Dønnum.

– Our names are both Bizet Dønnum now. So it’s a bit surreal. We quickly agreed.

Nettavisen first reported the name change.

The newlywed footballer says the wedding was emotional.

– I know that Aron and I were very nervous on our wedding day. I was wearing a veil, so I couldn’t see much, but I saw that he had a lot of tears in his eyes and was crying. He’s a sensitive guy, and all girls want that, she says with a smile.

The wedding in Italy lasted two days and was described as a great success. They also had fireworks, an order they had forgotten about and which came as a surprise.

– It’s nice and cozy to have a hotel to yourself. There are some costs, but it went well, really, says Bizet Dønnum.

She herself also shed a few tears on her wedding day, including when she gave her speech.

– So that evening, Aron saw some tears from me too. I didn’t think it would go as well as it did, she says and continues:

– We’re not usually talkative people, we’re a bit spontaneous and take it as it comes. But everyone laughed and had fun, says the 23-year-old.

On Monday, she posted photos from her home wardrobe at Ullevaal, which have been updated with her new surname.

There, Bizet Dønnum and the national team have started so-called precamp before the European Championship departure to Switzerland.

NEW NAME: NFF has been at work and has already updated Celin Bizet Dønnum’s home wardrobe and closet.

– We looked in the locker room today and there was a new poster above her chair. She was proud and happy, so we are happy too. It was very nice, says teammate Ingrid Syrstad Engen about the change.

But whether both names will be visible on the jersey during the upcoming championship is still uncertain.

– We’ll see. I haven’t decided yet, Bizet Ildhusøy replies.

She says that the wedding was a nice boost for the European Championship, which starts in July.

– It’s often a bit nervous before the European Championship and championships in general, so it’s really good for both of us to be a bit calm and not think so much about football, and have a really nice holiday together.

Bizet Dønnum usually plays for Manchester United, while her husband plays for the French club Toulouse.

Received greetings from Haaland

Marthine Østenstad, Tuva Hansen, Guro Bergsvand, Ada Hegerberg, Kristian Thorstvedt and Leo Østigård have all congratulated the couple in the comments.

“Congratulations to both,” writes Erling Braut Haaland.

A number of high-profile football players were present at the wedding, including European Championship-ready Vilde Bøe Risa and Dønnum’s colleagues on the men’s national team, Kristian Thorstvedt and Jørgen Strand Larsen.

– People think it’s stress

The couple got engaged in spectacular fashion in 2022 when Dønnum, who at the time played for Belgian side Standard Liège, got down on one knee in front of a packed arena after a big match against Anderlecht and proposed on the pitch.

When NRK spoke to Celin Bizet Ildhusøy in February, she was in the middle of planning her wedding.

– People think it’s very stressful, but it’s really fun and relaxing, she said about the preparations.

Now they are at the finish line with the biggest party of their lives.

The European Championship awaits in July, with Norway opening with a match against host nation Switzerland on July 2.
