It was a successful sprint for the Norwegian biathlon men on Friday.
Because in Le Grand Bornand, Norway secured four of the top five positions.
Swedish Sebastian Samuelsson didn’t like it
– It’s a crisis, I’m going home now and really pondering for a long time all evening to turn this around until tomorrow, because I don’t want four Norwegians in front of me, he says to NRK.
IRRITATING: The Swede was extremely unhappy with the result on Friday.

– Why is there a crisis?
– It’s too bad, the Norwegians are good, but they’re not that good, and I should be able to beat them.
Johan-Olav Botn was not impressed by Samuelsson’s statements.
– It’s such an idiotic thing to say. He only says it on emotion, he also refuses to look at the results list that there are so many good Norwegians. It just makes sense. You just have to look at the results list for the last ten years. He refuses to look at the facts, says Botn to NRK.

IDIOTIC: Botn was not particularly impressed by the statements – or the achievements of – Samuelsson.

He believes the Swede has not yet delivered the goods.
– He can’t make headlines with his results, so he has to make headlines in other ways. Feels like he is an annoying little brother who needs attention all the time when he fails to deliver results.
Sjåstad Christiansen, for his part, agreed with Samuelsson’s crisis statement.
– Yes, I completely agree with that. He must go home and be ashamed of himself, he says to NRK and continues:
– “Sebbe” has long been like a little brother to me. I’m well used to it.
Believe in the Olympics
With two full houses, it was Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen who went to the top in Le Grand Bornand on Friday.
– This was not just for victory. There he knocked on the Olympic door for good, says NRK commentator Torgeir Bjørn in which Sjåstad Christiansen crossed the finish line.
– Criteria are delivered there, and then he is ready for the Olympics, says Ola Lunde.
When asked by NRK whether today’s result is the Olympic ticket, Sjåstad Christiansen replies:
– That was it.

After the sprint he was a very tired man.
– I was told that I was to fight Dale in the final round there. Then I thought: this is not going to work. I’m going against the world’s best last-round runner here. But I “paca” really well today. It was really difficult conditions that don’t suit me today, he says to NRK.

Johannes Dale-Skjevdal was the first Norwegian in action on Friday. He had to go through two penalty rounds in Le Grand Bornand, after missing both shots.
However, the Norwegian saved himself with good speed on the course and secured second place.
– I had no hope for any of this here when I reached the finish line. Then things suddenly started to look good, and then the bastard comes there and destroys everything, says Dale-Skjevdal to NRK and points to Sjåstad Christiansen.
Had to throw up
There has been a sickening charge to the chutes in Le Grand Bornand. Martin Uldal went home this week with illness, at the same time Isak Leknes Frey came down on Thursday, after struggling with illness.
Nor has Sturla Holm Lægreid been completely alert ahead of Friday’s race.
After the sprint, Friday’s winner was completely exhausted.
– I had to take a lap to throw up a bit. I was then in the basement on the last round there. It came with compound interest after a quarter of an hour there. It was terrible, Sjåstad Christiansen tells NRK.

He describes the race as terribly painful, but terribly worth it.
– It hurts that what we love the most should be so tiring.
