Helse Midt-Norge Welcomes New Leadership Amid Ongoing Challenges
Helse Midt-Norge is navigating a particularly challenging period, marked first by the pandemic and now the implementation of a new records system. Incoming chairman Per Axel Koch articulated this sentiment in a recent press release, highlighting the organization’s commitment to overcome these hurdles.
Koch, 64, brings a wealth of experience to his new role as CEO of Polaris Media. His impressive background includes leadership positions at Adresseavisen and chairmanships for various organizations, including SpareBank 1 SMN, AtB, and Fjordkraft. Educated in civil economics from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), Koch’s expertise positions him well to tackle the complexities of the health sector.
Residing in Trondheim, Koch expressed his dedication to enhancing patient care and cultivating an appealing workplace environment. “We must maintain a sustainable economy and lead the way in the digitization of our health services,” he remarked. “I am eager to contribute to this crucial social mission.”
Joining him as the new deputy chairman is Bjørn Haugstad. The board will see several fresh faces, though existing employee representatives will continue in their roles, ensuring continuity within the team.
The newly appointed board for Helse Midt-Norge will convene for its inaugural meeting on February 5, 2026.
