The Driving Teams: A Worthy Journey into Malmplassen
As the driving teams made their way into Malmplassen, they were met with an enthusiastic crowd eager to support their mission. The Union of Farmers and Truck Drivers (FLU) recently received a substantial grant of NOK 770,000 from the Directorate of Agriculture, funded by the Norwegian Rikstoto. This financial backing will help kickstart the ambitious project titled “Horse, Culture and Future: Conservation and New Use of National Horse Breeds in Truck Driver Culture.”
This initiative aims to celebrate and preserve the unique bond between these majestic horses and the trucking community, ensuring that rich traditions and invaluable skills are not lost to time.
