– The champagne is definitely not popping
– There were more funds in the company than I had thought, so in the misery this is better than I had thought. But there is a big gap between the best and worst case scenario, says Daniel Myrmæl Helgestad, who was the race director in the World Championship.
He finds the numbers startling.
– Both outstanding claims from us creditors, and in addition free funds in the VM company were surprisingly high actually. But as I said, I think there was still a surprisingly large amount of funds in the VM company. So there is a certain probability that we will be left with a large part of our outstanding claim here.
Daniel Myrmæl Helgestad, who was the race director in the World Cup, says they had planned for the worst case all along.
– So the champagne isn’t popping, but it’s still a good day for you creditors?
– So the champagne isn’t popping, but it’s still a good day for you creditors?
– A good day is to go far. The champagne is definitely not popping. But now it looks like we can get something, so at least it’s something, because we worked a lot on this championship.

He asked for confidence that work is now underway and that this process is in the creditors’ interest.
– There are quite a few millions where there is simply disagreement about what should be invoiced. These are things that the World Ski Championships have not ordered, Gisvold tells NRK after the meeting.

– As was said in the presentation here today, there are two extremes. There is a best case and a worst case, and we will also land somewhere in between. There will be demands and counter-demands that we will work hard on going forward, says chairman Åsne Havnelid of the World Cup company.

– Are you relieved or disappointed by the numbers you see that you end up with? – We have been working intensely for 14 days now to get this overview. We have gone through every claim notification. And made sure to get the customer receivables in. I am happy that we now see that we have so much funds available so that we can find the best possible solutions with the creditors.
