Alexander Sørloth kicked off Atlético Madrid and scored two of the goals in the 4-2 victory over Espanyol. It was the Trønder’s first goals since the 1-2 loss to Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League at the end of January. Sørloth hit in the far corner and made it 1-1 after a half-played half, and with just under 20 minutes left, he used his head to make it 4-1. Atlético’s other goals were scored by Giuliano Simeone and new signing Ademola Lookman. The victory was the team’s first in La Liga in less than a month. Atletico Madrid is in fourth place, twelve points behind Real Madrid at the top of the table. (NRK/NTB)
