Brian Brobbey was the big hero for Sunderland when he equalized deep into stoppage time with an acrobatic goal.

    – An insane goal, exclaimed Viaplay commentator Eivind Bisgaard Sundet.

    – Raya misses there, who had been the match winner until then, said expert Nils Johan Semb in the Viaplay studio after the match.

Even deeper into overtime, Riccardo Calafiori missed a giant chance from three meters.

    – I am very disappointed, says Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta to Sky Sports.

This is Arsenal’s third point loss of the season, following a loss against Liverpool and a draw against Manchester City.

This means that either Liverpool or City can gain two points on the league leader when the two clash on Sunday afternoon. Arsenal are seven points ahead of City and eight points ahead of Liverpool.

Arsenal thought they had the win in their pocket after a cannonball from Leandro Trossard from 16 metres.

Sunderland took the lead through Daniel Ballard. Arsenal’s first late goal in eight games in all competitions.

Bukayo Saka equalized at 1-1 in the second half. After Trossard’s match-winning score, Sunderland pressed for an equaliser, but David Raya in the Arsenal goal stood in the way.

Newly promoted Sunderland continue to surprise in the Premier League, and are third after the very strong point against the league leader.
