Motorsport talent Martinius Stenshorne (19) will not continue in McLaren’s development program next year.
McLaren states this on its website on Monday. Two more drivers are also out.
– We would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them the best of luck in the future, says the message.
Stenshorne signed with McLaren last May. After 1.5 years, the collaboration ends.
Stenshorne will drive Formula 2 for Rodin Motorsport next season.
The Hokksund boy has driven Formula 3 for the last two seasons. This year he finished in 5th place overall, and among the highlights was the sprint triumph in Monaco.
Stenshorne’s new team is based in New Zealand. In the coming season, he will be the first overall in Formula 2.
